Effective September 15, 2026
Terms of Service
1. Operator, version, and affirmative assent
These Terms of Service are between you and CoverageCases LLC ("CoverageCases," "we," "us," or "our"). Our public business address is 7402 North 56th Street, Suite 810 PMB 1013, Tampa, Florida 33617, and our support email is admin@coveragecases.com.
These Terms take effect on the effective date shown when activated by CoverageCases. You accept them only by affirmatively selecting and submitting every required acknowledgement. Merely visiting, continuing to hold an account, or using a non-marketplace account function does not record assent. Prior-version assent remains preserved but does not authorize browsing, posting, or accepting after these updated terms become current.
2. Attorney-only technology platform
CoverageCases provides technology that allows attorneys to locate and communicate with other attorneys concerning temporary coverage of existing client matters. CoverageCases is not a law firm, does not provide legal services, does not establish an attorney-client relationship, and does not refer prospective clients, recommend or rank attorneys, or determine whether an attorney is appropriate for a particular matter.
CoverageCases is a business-to-business technology platform for Florida attorneys seeking or offering discrete court-appearance coverage. CoverageCases does not practice law, provide legal services, represent clients, create an attorney-client relationship with a user or client, supervise either attorney, or become a party to an attorney engagement.
CoverageCases does not connect prospective clients or members of the public with lawyers and does not refer, recommend, rank, select, or endorse lawyers. The owner has re-adopted the documented operating classification that the attorney-only, zero-engagement-fee-share product is not a qualifying provider under Rule 4-7.22, Rules Regulating The Florida Bar. This is not an approval, formal opinion, or binding determination by The Florida Bar. Any material change to the model requires renewed review.
3. Identity, membership record, and continuing eligibility
CoverageCases may confirm a user’s identity through Stripe Identity and compare identifying information with publicly available Florida Bar records. Verification means only that specified identity and public-record fields matched at the time shown. It is not an endorsement by The Florida Bar or CoverageCases and does not establish competence, conflicts clearance, insurance coverage, disciplinary history, or suitability for any assignment.
Initial approval requires verified account information; a Stripe Identity check using a government-issued photo ID and matching selfie; a canonical Florida Bar number supplied by the user; and the user's affirmative certification that the user is currently an active Florida attorney in good standing and authorized and eligible for the activity undertaken. CoverageCases does not describe the supplied Bar number as officially confirmed or display a dated public-record match result unless later matching against an official Florida Bar roster actually occurs.
You certify at signup, and continuously while using the marketplace, that you are currently an active Florida Bar member in good standing and authorized and eligible for the activity you undertake. You agree to stop marketplace use promptly and notify CoverageCases if that changes. Each marketplace use reaffirms this certification. When official roster data becomes available, CoverageCases may reconcile the supplied Bar number and name, flag or investigate mismatches, and suspend or restrict an account that cannot be reconciled. CoverageCases does not independently determine current good standing. Identity or later roster matching does not replace your certification or either attorney's independent professional checks.
You must provide accurate information, maintain control of your credentials, keep your contact and Bar information current, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Verification is a point-in-time control, not a guarantee of identity, competence, availability, current standing, or suitability for any engagement.
4. Coverage requests, acceptance, and direct settlement
A requesting attorney may post a proposed coverage opportunity, and an eligible coverage attorney may independently decide whether to accept it. Acceptance creates a structured platform engagement record and releases each attorney's name, email address, and telephone number to the other. CoverageCases does not provide attorney-to-attorney messaging.
The displayed coverage compensation is a proposed engagement term only. CoverageCases does not collect, charge, route, hold, escrow, transfer, refund, or take a percentage or share of attorney-to-attorney engagement compensation. The attorneys must agree and settle that compensation directly outside CoverageCases under their separate written agreement.
CoverageCases may separately charge the posting attorney a fixed platform posting fee disclosed before publication. That fee is not deducted from, calculated from, or contingent on attorney compensation, any legal fee, a case value, an hourly rate, or an outcome. A posting-fee Checkout creates only a CoverageCases platform charge and never a Stripe attorney-engagement charge, transfer, application fee, or payout.
Before substantive work begins, the attorneys must make a separate written agreement addressing scope, authority, compensation, payment timing, cancellation, client communication or consent, confidentiality, conflicts, competence, supervision, trust-account and fee-division requirements, taxes, records, and all other professional obligations.
CoverageCases charges only the separately disclosed fixed platform fees. CoverageCases does not receive a percentage of attorney compensation, client legal fees, recoveries, settlements, or results.
Requesting and covering attorneys are independently responsible for structuring their compensation in compliance with applicable professional rules, including requirements governing divisions of fees between lawyers in different firms. CoverageCases does not determine whether a particular payment arrangement constitutes a division of legal fees.
5. Independent professional responsibility
Each attorney remains independently responsible for authority to engage or appear, conflicts, competence, scope, deadlines, client communication and consent, confidentiality, supervision, current eligibility, court and local rules, and every other professional duty.
Before acceptance, a coverage attorney must affirm engagement-specific professional-responsibility checks and the requirement for a separate written engagement. A platform verification result, the official membership record, or another user's statement does not determine whether a particular engagement is professionally permissible.
6. Sensitive information and provider-hosted Identity
Submit a government ID and selfie only through the Stripe-hosted Identity flow. Do not place identity documents, facial or biometric material, payment credentials, privileged material, complete dates of birth, government identification numbers, financial or health information, passwords, authentication secrets, unredacted discovery, or other sensitive records in CoverageCases forms, uploads, support email, or marketplace fields.
The CoverageCases application database does not store copies of the ID or selfie, extracted identification number, date of birth, address, or biometric identifiers. Stripe collects and stores submitted verification data as described in the Privacy Policy and Stripe's privacy materials. CoverageCases is not a confidential document repository or secure case-file transfer service; attorneys must use a separately evaluated secure channel for substantive files and confidential materials.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use CoverageCases unlawfully; impersonate another person; submit false, misleading, or unauthorized material; probe or disrupt security; scrape, republish, or resell marketplace information; introduce malicious code; interfere with other users; or use the service to solicit or match prospective clients with lawyers.
You may not imply that CoverageCases, Stripe, or The Florida Bar recommends, endorses, supervises, guarantees, or has independently confirmed the current eligibility of any attorney, engagement, or result.
8. Required individual technology subscription
Every marketplace participant, including an administrator participating as an attorney, must maintain one individually purchased active paid CoverageCases subscription. CoverageCases is $9.99 USD per month, plus any applicable tax. CoverageCases offers no firm-wide, pooled, unlimited-firm, or one-subscription-for-multiple-attorneys plan. Each attorney remains individually registered, verified, attributable, responsible, and subscribed.
The CoverageCases subscription permits an otherwise eligible attorney to maintain a verified profile, browse, post, accept, use coverage-history tools, and receive basic alerts. Feature availability remains subject to verification, configuration, marketplace liquidity, and separate release controls.
Trialing, past_due, unpaid, canceled, and every status other than exact active do not authorize new marketplace use. Identity verification, account and privacy management, legal-document review, billing management, and existing-engagement wind-down remain available only as specifically described. Subscription price, immediate initial charge, renewal, plan changes, cancellation, and refund terms are governed by the Subscription & Payment Terms. Every subscription and fixed platform fee remains separate from attorney-to-attorney compensation.
9. Restrictions and existing-engagement wind-down
CoverageCases may deny, suspend, restrict, or terminate access for eligibility, verification, subscription, security, legal, professional-responsibility, policy, or operational reasons. A restricted, unsubscribed, or stale-assent account may retain only access reasonably necessary to manage billing, privacy, legal assent, and structured obligations for an already accepted engagement, including cancellation, reporting, acknowledgement, dispute, and history. It may not browse open opportunities, post, or accept.
Wind-down access does not restore eligibility and does not relieve either attorney of duties that continue outside CoverageCases.
10. Complaints and external compensation disputes
CoverageCases accepts account, subscription, fixed platform-charge, Identity, privacy, security, and platform-conduct complaints through the Support and Complaint Procedure. We may review platform records, preserve evidence, restrict activity, and correct or refund our own subscription or fixed platform charges where authorized.
Disputes over external attorney-to-attorney compensation remain between the attorneys under their separate agreement. CoverageCases does not charge, refund, adjudicate, or enforce that compensation and does not provide emergency service or decide legal-service quality, malpractice, discipline, or damages.
11. No guarantees, governing law, and changes
CoverageCases does not guarantee attorney availability, acceptance, identity results, appearance, performance, communications outside the platform, court action, outcome, uninterrupted service, data preservation, or third-party systems. Nothing excludes obligations or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Florida law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to applicable federal jurisdiction, exclusive venue for a dispute with CoverageCases lies in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida. These Terms do not require predispute arbitration and do not include a jury-trial or class-action waiver.
A material legal change requires a new immutable version and fresh affirmative assent before affected marketplace activity. Prior assent records remain preserved. Questions may be sent to admin@coveragecases.com or mailed to the business address above.
Privacy Policy
1. Scope and contact
This Privacy Policy takes effect on the effective date shown when activated by CoverageCases. CoverageCases LLC is responsible for the CoverageCases processing described here. Privacy questions and verified access, correction, or deletion requests may be sent to admin@coveragecases.com or mailed to CoverageCases LLC at 7402 North 56th Street, Suite 810 PMB 1013, Tampa, Florida 33617.
2. Information CoverageCases collects
CoverageCases collects account and contact data; firm and profile data; canonical Florida Bar number; continuing-certification evidence; standard membership-record entries and import provenance; structured postings, acceptances, cancellations, appearance reports, disputes, and notifications; individual technology-subscription status and provider identifiers; fixed posting-fee quotes, Checkout attempts, charges, refunds, receipts, and immutable accounting facts; legal assent; support, privacy, security, and administrative records; and ordinary device and server data. Structured posting and engagement data includes court and hearing details, proposed attorney compensation, client name, case number, attendance requirement, and waiver status. CoverageCases does not provide or store attorney-to-attorney messages.
Other marketplace users initially receive only limited opportunity information. An eligible attorney who affirmatively starts the conflict-check workflow may receive only the client and case information reasonably necessary to conduct that review; access and certification are audited. After acceptance, the matched attorneys receive the case and contact information needed for the engagement, including each attorney's name, email address, and telephone number. Authorized CoverageCases personnel and service providers may process these records when reasonably needed to operate, secure, support, audit, or comply with law for the service. Communications between attorneys occur outside CoverageCases and are not received, transmitted, or retained by CoverageCases.
3. Stripe Identity data and roles
For Stripe Identity, CoverageCases discloses the account email and opaque session and application references to Stripe. Stripe captures government-ID and face or selfie images, uses facial-recognition technology to create biometric identifiers and compare the face with the ID, extracts or receives information such as name, date of birth, government identification number and address, and collects device, cookie, analytics, security, and fraud signals. Stripe processes Identity data in the United States regardless of where the user is located and may use verification service providers or check information against third-party or government-managed data sources to evaluate the verification. CoverageCases and Stripe each act as independent controllers for certain processing, and Stripe also acts as a service provider to CoverageCases under the applicable agreements.
Stripe and personnel authorized to use CoverageCases's Stripe account can access submitted verification information in Stripe. CoverageCases uses the provider-verified first and last name transiently to compare against the account name and, when official roster data is available, may use it for roster reconciliation. Its application database stores only opaque session and report identifiers, status and timestamps, the configured document-and-selfie check, consent evidence, the user's attestation, any later roster references and match outcome, restricted error codes, and redaction receipts—not copies of the ID or selfie, extracted date of birth, identification number or address, or biometric identifiers.
Stripe's optional use of submitted information to improve its biometric technology is a separate choice in Stripe's hosted flow and is not required by CoverageCases. Stripe's Privacy Policy is available at https://stripe.com/privacy.
4. Official membership dataset and limitation
CoverageCases may import the standard official Florida Bar membership dataset for later reconciliation, including point-in-time Bar number and name information and import provenance. Initial approval does not claim an official roster match. CoverageCases does not obtain additional standing or disciplinary information and does not treat a later record match as current good standing, authorization, or eligibility.
CoverageCases uses the canonical Bar number and normalized name for user attestation, duplicate prevention, later roster reconciliation, audit, security, and operation of the attorney-only marketplace. A later mismatch may be flagged, investigated, or used to suspend or restrict an account. Current eligibility remains the user's continuing certification and independent professional duty.
5. Uses and disclosures
CoverageCases uses information to authenticate users; verify identity; record the user's Bar number and active-attorney attestation; later reconcile official roster data; administer accounts, individual subscriptions, fixed posting-fee quotes and charges, legal assent, postings, acceptances, lifecycle events, notifications, receipts, refunds, history, privacy requests, security, support, and audits; prevent abuse; enforce platform rules; and comply with law.
CoverageCases discloses information to another eligible attorney only as needed for marketplace functions and accepted-engagement contact release. It may disclose information to Stripe, Supabase, Vercel, email and security providers, professional advisers, authorities when required by law, and a documented business successor, limited to the information reasonably needed for those functions. CoverageCases does not sell consumer legal leads and does not use the service to connect prospective clients with lawyers.
CoverageCases does not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from a person's biometric identifiers or biometric information. CoverageCases permits disclosure of Identity information only as described in this Notice, with the person's authorization, to complete a financial transaction requested or authorized by the person, or when otherwise required or permitted by applicable law.
6. CoverageCases retention schedule
CoverageCases retains Identity attempt status and timestamps, Identity consent/version/hash evidence, roster-match references, and redaction receipts for seven years after the later of verification completion or account closure. It retains standard official membership-dataset snapshots, provenance, validation and conflict reports for seven years after the snapshot is superseded. Legal assent, subscription, historical provider-payment, material administrative, contract, dispute, and audit records are retained for at least seven years after the later applicable account closure, final resolution, or transaction. These periods are subject to documented legal holds, security investigations, provider backup-expiry procedures, immutable audit requirements, and obligations that require longer preservation.
Structured marketplace engagement records are retained while an engagement remains active and for at least seven years after the later of final engagement conclusion and closure of the last participating account. Ordinary application security and authentication logs are retained no longer than 90 days unless associated with an incident, fraud review, dispute, legal hold, or other documented need. Other active account records are retained while needed to operate the account. On closure, CoverageCases immediately scrubs ordinary profile and contact fields and disables marketplace use. Supabase Auth may temporarily retain the login email and limited authentication may remain while period-end subscription cancellation, Stripe Identity redaction, and Auth deletion are positively reconciled; during that interval the account holder may request password recovery and reach the Stripe-hosted billing portal, but cannot resume marketplace activity. This interval can last through the current paid period or a provider retry. CoverageCases then deletes the Auth identity and retains a non-login tombstone. The tombstone's opaque identifier, canonical Florida Bar claim, role and creation or closure facts, and billing or provider references needed to preserve retained legal, billing, audit, duplicate-account, fraud-prevention, security, reconciliation, and referential-integrity records have no automatic expiry in the current architecture and may remain beyond seven years, subject to applicable law, verified privacy requests, and legal holds. CoverageCases maintains documented retention controls and deletion receipts; provider and backup copies may remain until the verified expiry process completes.
7. Stripe retention and redaction
As of this version's approval, Stripe states that it generally stores submitted non-biometric Identity information on CoverageCases's behalf for three years after verification and biometric identifiers for up to one year. CoverageCases does not receive or store the ID, selfie, or biometric identifiers in its application database and does not sell, lease, trade, or profit from biometric data. Stripe may separately retain data it processes for its own lawful purposes. CoverageCases will keep the live configuration and this disclosure under review against Stripe's then-current terms.
For an eligible verified closure or deletion request, CoverageCases queues Stripe-session redaction and does not finalize Auth deletion until Stripe positively confirms redaction. Stripe states that redaction may take up to four days and cannot complete while verification is processing. To request deletion of Stripe Identity information held on CoverageCases's behalf, contact CoverageCases at admin@coveragecases.com. To request deletion of information Stripe controls for its own purposes, contact Stripe through the privacy-request process identified in Stripe's Privacy Policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.
8. Access, correction, deletion, and Identity choice
You may request access to or correction of account information and deletion of eligible information by contacting CoverageCases at admin@coveragecases.com. CoverageCases verifies the requester and may limit a request where preservation is required for law, security, fraud prevention, contracts, billing, disputes, professional obligations, legal assent, audit integrity, backup expiry, or a legal hold. Account closure does not cancel duties or agreements between attorneys. A request to CoverageCases does not delete a separate copy that Stripe controls for its own purposes; use Stripe's privacy-request process for that copy.
If you decline the Stripe Identity document, selfie, or biometric processing, exit the hosted flow and contact support to ask whether a legally required non-biometric alternative is available in your jurisdiction. CoverageCases does not promise ordinary manual approval. If no compliant alternative is available, the marketplace may be unavailable to you.
9. Security, incidents, and cookies
CoverageCases uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service and information, but no system is completely secure. Users must protect credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. CoverageCases maintains incident-response and legally required notification procedures.
CoverageCases and its providers use necessary session, authentication, security, fraud-prevention, and preference technologies. CoverageCases does not promise targeted advertising, sale of personal information, or unrelated cross-site profiling. Provider-hosted pages are governed by the provider's own cookie and privacy disclosures.
10. Changes
A material privacy or commercial-data change requires a new immutable version and fresh affirmative assent before affected marketplace use. Prior versions and assent records remain preserved. The document version, effective timestamp, document-set checksum, and package hash identify the exact notice accepted.
11. Affirmative acceptance and transaction evidence
CoverageCases records affirmative account, identity, legal-update, subscription, posting, and assignment acknowledgements. Evidence may include the user's opaque ID and role; the applicable transaction, subscription, posting, or assignment reference; exact document versions, document hashes, package hash, acknowledgement and button language; displayed amount, currency, billing cadence and renewal status; UTC timestamp; IP address and user agent; provider references; receipt or accepted-terms delivery; and cancellation, refund, reassent, and entitlement-change history. These records are used for contract, billing, audit, security, dispute, and compliance purposes, subject to the retention and request procedures in this Privacy Policy. Raw identity documents are not stored in the application merely to prove assent.
Platform Disclaimer
Technology role only
CoverageCases provides technology that allows attorneys to locate and communicate with other attorneys concerning temporary coverage of existing client matters. CoverageCases is not a law firm, does not provide legal services, does not establish an attorney-client relationship, and does not refer prospective clients, recommend or rank attorneys, or determine whether an attorney is appropriate for a particular matter.
Identity and official-record limitation
CoverageCases may confirm a user’s identity through Stripe Identity and compare identifying information with publicly available Florida Bar records. Verification means only that specified identity and public-record fields matched at the time shown. It is not an endorsement by The Florida Bar or CoverageCases and does not establish competence, conflicts clearance, insurance coverage, disciplinary history, or suitability for any assignment.
An initial Identity approval means only that Stripe reported successful government-document and matching-selfie verification, the provider-verified first and last name matched the account name under the configured matching rules, and the user supplied a canonical Florida Bar number and the required active-attorney certification. It does not mean the Bar number was officially confirmed. If a later official-roster match occurs, CoverageCases may record that separate result. Neither Stripe nor CoverageCases guarantees identity results, competence, authorization, current good standing, or eligibility.
The standard dataset is point-in-time membership information. CoverageCases does not obtain extra standing or disciplinary data and does not independently verify current good standing. Each attorney must perform all checks required by law, court rule, professional responsibility, and the circumstances.
Engagement and compensation limitation
A posting, acceptance, status, acknowledgement, report, dispute, or administrative resolution is a platform record, not legal advice, a guarantee of performance, or an adjudication of either attorney's rights. CoverageCases does not process attorney engagement compensation; the attorneys arrange and settle it directly outside the platform under their separate agreement.
CoverageCases revenue is limited at launch to individually purchased CoverageCases software subscriptions and fixed posting fees disclosed before publication. No CoverageCases charge is a percentage or share of attorney compensation, and CoverageCases does not use a Stripe application fee, transfer, or connected-attorney payment for that compensation.
Rule 4-7.22 operating classification
The documented operating classification depends on CoverageCases remaining attorney-only, not connecting the public to lawyers, not recommending or ranking lawyers, and not receiving or sharing engagement fees. It is not an approval or binding determination by The Florida Bar. Any material change to those facts requires renewed review.
Attorney-to-Attorney Engagement Payment Disclosure
CoverageCases does not handle engagement compensation
CoverageCases charges only its separately disclosed individual CoverageCases software subscription and fixed platform posting fees. A coverage-compensation amount shown in a posting is a proposed term between the attorneys. CoverageCases does not process, collect, charge, hold, route, escrow, transfer, refund, enforce, deduct from, or take a percentage or share of that attorney-to-attorney compensation.
The attorneys must independently document the engagement and arrange invoices, payment method, payment timing, cancellation consequences, refunds, taxes, trust-account treatment, fee division, and recordkeeping outside CoverageCases. A platform lifecycle event does not adjudicate or alter either attorney's contractual or professional rights.
Historical records
CoverageCases may retain historical provider transaction, connected-account, refund, dispute, and audit records created under a prior activated package for the period stated in the Privacy Policy. These terms create no new Stripe attorney-engagement charge, payout, transfer, application fee, or connected-attorney compensation record.
Support and Complaint Procedure
Contact and scope
Send a nonurgent support or complaint request to admin@coveragecases.com or mail CoverageCases LLC at 7402 North 56th Street, Suite 810 PMB 1013, Tampa, Florida 33617. Include the account email, relevant date, and a concise nonconfidential description. Do not send identity documents, selfies, biometric material, complete payment credentials, privileged communications, or confidential case files.
CoverageCases accepts account, individual subscription, fixed posting-fee, Identity, official-record match, legal-assent, privacy, security, accessibility, notification, and platform-conduct complaints. Compensation disputes between attorneys remain governed by their separate agreement and are not charged, refunded, or adjudicated by CoverageCases.
Review and escalation
CoverageCases may verify the requester, review relevant account and audit records, request nonconfidential information, preserve evidence, correct its records, restrict marketplace access, or refer a provider-controlled issue to the provider. Security incidents and privacy requests follow the applicable response and verification procedures.
CoverageCases does not provide emergency support, court relief, legal advice, professional-discipline decisions, or malpractice adjudication. Contact the court, emergency services, independent counsel, The Florida Bar, a regulator, or another appropriate authority when the issue is outside the platform's role.
Acceptable Use Policy
Attorney-only use and prohibited conduct
You may not use CoverageCases unlawfully; impersonate another person; submit false, misleading, or unauthorized material; probe or disrupt security; scrape, republish, or resell marketplace information; introduce malicious code; interfere with other users; or use the service to solicit or match prospective clients with lawyers.
You may not imply that CoverageCases, Stripe, or The Florida Bar recommends, endorses, supervises, guarantees, or has independently confirmed the current eligibility of any attorney, engagement, or result.
Confidentiality and independent responsibility
I affirm that this is an existing client matter, not a prospective-client referral; I am authorized to share the information entered; I have obtained any client authorization, consent, or disclosure required by applicable law, court rule, or Rules Regulating The Florida Bar for use of stand-in or coverage counsel; and I have not entered unnecessary confidential information. I remain responsible for client communication, conflicts, competence, court requirements, and determining whether coverage is permitted. Attorney compensation is separate from the CoverageCases posting fee and is not contingent on the legal outcome. CoverageCases does not select, recommend, employ, supervise, or guarantee the covering attorney. I accept the applicable Coverage Assignment Terms.
I affirm that I am currently authorized to practice law in Florida and that my profile information is accurate. I have independently cleared conflicts and am competent for this limited assignment. I have reviewed the court, date, scope, compensation, expenses, deadlines, and cancellation terms. I will comply with confidentiality duties, client instructions, and court rules. I understand that CoverageCases verification is not an endorsement, conflicts check, competence determination, or guarantee. I accept the applicable Coverage Assignment Terms.
Electronic Communications Terms
Electronic records and communications
CoverageCases provides account notices, current legal documents, accepted-terms records, billing receipts, and transaction updates through the application and the account email address. Stripe may provide its own hosted billing receipts and notices. Keep the account email current and retain copies of records relevant to your professional obligations. Public legal pages can be printed or saved using the provided print control; billing records remain subject to the access and retention limits in the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Acknowledging these Electronic Communications Terms is separate from authorizing a subscription or posting charge. Neither receipt of an email nor passive use records a new purchase authorization or assent to a material legal update. Affirmative controls identify the terms accepted for the particular action.
Requests and limitations
For assistance accessing or retaining an electronic record, or to make an access, correction, or deletion request, contact admin@coveragecases.com. Requests follow the verification and retention procedures in the Privacy Policy. CoverageCases does not provide emergency communications, court filing or service, or a channel for privileged case files. Attorneys remain independently responsible for court deadlines and required client communications.
Coverage Assignment Terms
Requesting attorney certification
Covering attorney certification
I affirm that I am currently authorized to practice law in Florida and that my profile information is accurate. I have independently cleared conflicts and am competent for this limited assignment. I have reviewed the court, date, scope, compensation, expenses, deadlines, and cancellation terms. I will comply with confidentiality duties, client instructions, and court rules. I understand that CoverageCases verification is not an endorsement, conflicts check, competence determination, or guarantee. I accept the applicable Coverage Assignment Terms.
Scope, court rules, and direct compensation
The attorneys must review court, appearance method, date, scope, compensation, expenses, deadlines, and cancellation terms before acceptance and preserve their separate agreement. A platform record or document aid does not automatically file a stand-in notice or determine whether a court rule permits an appearance. Each attorney remains responsible for applicable stand-in counsel procedures and explicit filing authorization.
Verification limits
CoverageCases may confirm a user’s identity through Stripe Identity and compare identifying information with publicly available Florida Bar records. Verification means only that specified identity and public-record fields matched at the time shown. It is not an endorsement by The Florida Bar or CoverageCases and does not establish competence, conflicts clearance, insurance coverage, disciplinary history, or suitability for any assignment.
